Jeanne, aged 93, died peacefully on March 10, 2013 at the Lady Dunn Health Centre, after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. She was born May 1, 1920, in Alexandria, Ontario, the fifth of seven children of the late Osias J. Proulx and Rose-Anna Sauvé.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa (Barry) of Ottawa; along with her grandsons, to whom she was affectionately known as "Mumzie", John (Mary) of Sault Ste. Marie; Paul (Andria) and great-grandson Raiden of Wawa.

She was predeceased by her daughter Maibelle. She will be lovingly remembered and profoundly missed. There will be no service as per Jeanne's request.  The family wishes to thank Dr. E. Kirby, the nurses and all the staff at the Lady Dunn Health Centre for their excellent care. Memorial donations made to the Lady Dunn Health Centre Long Term Care would be greatly appreciated by the family.

She was a lovely tenant. It was amazing how she could get up and down the stairs to her apartment with such agility. I will miss her and her brown sugar fudge. And yes, she and Mirabelle made fashion statements. Very classy.
