Youth Programs
Softball
July 7 - August 20th

Ages 10-12 - 6-7 p.m.
Ages 13-13 - 7-8 p.m.
Wednesdays & Thursdays
Baseball Diamonds at Community Centre
Cost: $40 (pls HST for 14+ years)
Sign up for our new Youth Softball League!

It will 8 weeks long with playoffs during the last two weeks. Takes place every Wednesday and Thursday evening. It wil be a mixed league of boys and girls.


 


Dry Land
Training
August 16 - 26th

Ages 9-11 - 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Ages 12-15 - 7:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Monday through Thursday
Location will vary
Cost: $40 (pls HST for 14+ years)
Instructor: Tanya Lamon
A new dry land training program is being held to give the young athletes in Wawa the opportunity to improve their athletic skills.

Includes agility ladder, running parachute, resistant bands, and many new exciting drills! Come on out and get in shape for the upcoming hockey season. It is a great program for all amateur athletes!


Art
Class
August 30th - September 2nd

1 - 4 p.m.
Michipicoten Memorial Community Centre
$15 per 3 hour class
(includes instruction and supplies)
Sign up for a combination of 1, 2, 3 or 4 afternoons at $15 each!
Instructor: Heather Sinnott

 
For kids from 7-12 years old (8 and under must be accompanied by an adult). Four afternoons of art classes featuring acrylic painting, drawing, paper maché, kites and creative design. Come Paint! Create a creature! Design a great idea! New concept and a little art history lesson every day, too. You will love it!

Limited to 12 participants

Wawa Lake Front

$45 (plus HST)
This program is a great learning experience!

It is taught by qualified instructors from Naturally Superior Adventures. You will be taught the basic safety and skills, and will also do some touring.

$15 (plus HST) for 2.5 hours
(includes instruction & supplies)

Sign up for any combination of 1, 2 or 3 evenings at $15 (plus HST) each!
Three evenings of art classes featuring acrylic/water colour painting, paper maché, design projects and more! For both new and experienced. You will have fun and learn a lot. Students will be taught basics of painting, have the option of paper maché and other design projects. The old hands will be given new ideas to design and create! Come for 1, 2 or 3 evenings!

Cost: $10/person or $30/team

13-17 yrs (Juniors)
Cost: $15/person or $45/team
(plus HST for 14 + yrs)

Registration begins at 4:15 p.m.

Race begins at 5.00 p.m.
- 100m swim
- 2km run/walk
- 5km bike
- Individual / Team

Adult
Sprint
18+ yrs  – Cost: $20/person or $60/team (plus HST)

Registration begins at 4:45 p.m.

Race begins at 5.30 p.m.
- 350m swim
- 20km bike
- 5km run/walk
- Individual / Team

Family Triathlon Kids (7+) - $10/person or $30/team, Juniors - $15/person or $45/team

Come register for some fun and exciting new summer programs!
Registration will be accepted at the Community Centre Pro-Shop
Monday through Thursday 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
