THEFT OF GOLF EQUIPMENT
(CHAPLEAU) –  – On July 15, 2009 a local resident attended the Chapleau OPP Detachment to report that between June 26 and June 27, 2009 person(s) unknown entered his 2007 Ford Edge and removed two sets of golf clubs and related equipment.  The theft occurred on Adele Street in Chapleau.  Items stolen include the following:

(1)    Set of women’s left handed clubs in a black golf bag with “PING” written on the sleeve and a yellow “King Cobra” snake of the arm part of the bag.  The clubs are Ping eye 2 irons “1970”; Black series wedge 56-60 degrees; Ping Pal putter; Rapture 3 wood; 2 titlist gloves; a black and white umbrella; a charcoal grey rain suit and two dozen golf balls.
(2)    Set of men’s right handed clubs; one pair of Nike shoes – (one shoe was recovered near-by); a red/white/blue PING Hoofer bag decaled with Montreal Canadian decorations/patches.  Clubs are full bladed Nicky Victory red series irons; a tailor made R9 driver 460CC; a 3 wood 15 degree and a 5 wood 21 degree, tailor made;  two Titlist wedges, a 56 degree and a 60 degree Vokey series; an Odyssey putter; a chrome series 54 degree tailor made rack; 3 dozen Prov 1 golf balls; 4-5 pair of golf gloves; a matching charcoal grey rain suit and a blue/white umbrella.
 

Total value of both sets is approximately $4500.00.  It is believed that the vehicle was unlocked at the time of the theft.
